This is the final part of the Alien (1979) Restored Edition – Alpha Version, a multi-part restoration project created for YouTube. This version reintegrates deleted scenes, reconstructs lost story beats, and introduces newly produced material that has never been seen before. All added content follows the original screenplay and narrative intent of Ridley Scott’s Alien. In this concluding chapter, Ellen Ripley is the last surviving member of the Nostromo. With the ship lost and the Alien still hunting, her only remaining option is escape aboard the Narcissus shuttle. This restored finale emphasizes tension, isolation, and survival—bringing the story closer to its original dramatic structure. This restored edition follows the original narrative intent of Alien (1979) more closely than any theatrical cut and is presented as a multi-part series. The video includes: Deleted scenes: an extended Cocoon sequence Restored small footages of deleted material within existing scenes: the Alien on B-Deck, the toy birds, the Alien outside the Narcissus shuttle, the Narcissus in space, and the Cocoon scene Scenes restored according to the original screenplay: corrected logical scene order, and audio warnings related to engine overheating Notes: Several scenes in the video have been re-edited to more closely follow the original screenplay. Scene Order In the original story, after Ripley finds Parker and Lambert dead, she hears noises in the corridor and descends to discover Dallas and Brett cocooned. Only after this discovery does she fully commit to destroying the Nostromo and the refinery, having confirmed that no other crew members are alive. Because of this, the original story presents a more logical sequence of events than the order seen in the Director’s Cut. Self-Destruction In the original story, the Nostromo does not feature the self-destruct mechanism seen in the film. Instead, Ripley destroys the ship by shutting down the engine cooling system, causing the reactor core to melt and explode. The shutdown of the cooling system was filmed and appears in the movie, but during production Ridley Scott also added the self-destruct mechanism in the sequence. The released versions still include Ripley’s original dialogue about restarting the cooling system, creating a continuity error that often confuses viewers. In this video, the self-destruct mechanism has been removed, and additional material related to engine cooling has been added. Countdown Originally, Ridley Scott intended the countdown to the Nostromo’s destruction to be intercut with shots of the toy birds. In this video, the sequence is presented according to Scott’s original vision. Unfortunately, some of the added materials are of poor quality due to the low resolution of the source material. ----------------------------------------------------------- 🔔 Subscribe ( / @alien_vault ) and click the bell to get notified for new videos! 👉 Like the video and comment down what you think about this video/movie? ----------------------------------------------------------- @Alien_Vault ----------------------------------------------------------- #Alien1979 #AlienRestored #AlienFinale #Ripley #Xenomorph #SciFiHorror #FilmRestoration #DeletedScenes #AlienFanEdit #Nostromo #Narcissus #AlienVault #SciFiClassic #ActionHorror
