When you turn your FR-1x on and the top two keys make a growling sound and the rest of the keys are not the correct notes, you may have this problem. The problem is that your Roland FR-1x Piano Accordion is in Roland FR-1xb Button Accordion mode. I am going to go through how to change it from Piano type to Button type and back again.
