In this video I show you step by step how to recreate one of my favorite sets of Easter Eggs by Mackenzie Childs. I looked everywhere for these and they were sold out, but not sure I would have been able to swallow the steep price of $68 for a set of 4. So I decided to make my own, and share it with you so you can too. The supplies I used are: Regular surprise plastic Easter eggs White Primer Spray Paint: Clear Enamel Spray Paint (Gloss) Clear Enamel Spray Paint (Matte) Paint Markers (Black, White, Floral Colors) Acrylic Paint (Metallic Black, Pearl White, Yellow Med, Yellow Orche, Orange, Light Olive Green, Lake Blue, Burnt Sienna, Burnt Umber Flower Stickers Tips: These are things that I learned as I went through the process so I wanted to make sure to spare you the same. #1: These eggs are hard to hold onto while working on. Try not to smear your work. #2: When working on an area make sure to let dry for about 10 min. before handling as it will smear easily. I also sprayed the Clear Enamel Matte Spray Paint a couple of times during the paint marker and acrylic paint steps. I found that this would seal in the color and reduced smearing. #3: The flowers are so much easier if you can find stickers. This part doubled my total project time for this egg. #4: Any mistakes were easily corrected with white paint marker or white paint. #5: I used several things to hold my egg while I let it dry. Some ideas of egg holders if you do not have one is..... tiny watering can (shown in video), ribbon spool, wooden bbq skewer in a cardboard box (for spray painting). #eastertabledecor #easter2021 #mackenziechildseaster
