Carlos Santana - The Yamaha SG Years - Moonflower Pick-up Showcase

Only my opinion of course but Carlos Santana had the very best tone of his career when he was using the Yamaha SG175 (later to become the SG2000). I came across a listing on Ebay for these 'Moonflower' pick-ups which are hand made and designed to replicate the sounds Carlos had when using the SG from around 1976-1982. I ordered a pair as they are very reasonably priced and they arrived from Australia to the UK in around 10 days. I fitted them to my FGN LC10 and the bridge pick-up is showcased in the video. My verdict...great value for money and you can get very close to the Santana SG tone with them, checkout the Moonflower album for some epic tone from Carlos, the SG, and a MK 1 Boogie. However, these pick-ups are no one trick pony and they sound great being used for any rock, blues, prog application but if you are a guitarist looking for Carlos's SG tone these are a must in my opinion. I'll be putting together a seperate video to showcase the Moonflower neck pick-up. I love them and bought a second set!
