Prop Making Tips: Casting A Rubber Coffee Cup Action Prop

Inspired by my upcoming career day appearance, my daughters and I created this tutorial to show how to make fight scene props. At the end of the tutorial my lovely daughters showcase their action props in proper context. *Update* We originally used PlatSil 71-10 to make the mold of the coffee cup. Since this recording, 71-10 has been discontinued. In its place, you can use less expensive and easier to use, TC-5110F. TC-5110F is soft, has higher tear resistance, and is 1:1 mix ratio. You can also use FP-40 for the rubber cup cast. FP-40 may be adjusted with SC-22 to make it softer if necessary. FP-40 is also translucent so it opens up more possibilities for coloration.
