Ingredients: 2 large sweet onions, cut into 1/2" rings 1 1/4 cup self rising flour 1 cup milk 2 Tbsp corn starch pinch salt 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp paprika 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (or to your taste) Directions: Stir ingredients together and set aside. Slice onions into 1/2" rings, separating them into individual rings. Heat 2" oil in deep skillet to 325 degrees. When oil is hot, coat onion rings in batter and deep fry in batches for 5-6 minutes or until golden. Remove to sheet pan fitted with a wire rack to drain. Sprinkle with salt while hot. Continue frying onions until all are cooked.
