Mount Stuart House on the east coast of the Isle of Bute, Scotland. It is a Gothic Revival country house and the ancestral home of the Marquesses of Bute. The Mount Stuart Trust is a Charitable Trust, founded in 1985, works to fulfil the vision of John Crichton-Stuart 6th Marquess of Bute (1933-1993) who gave the to the trust the Bute Estate to provide the support which enables this wonderful house to be preserved and opened to visitors. He believed that the public should be able to enjoy the house, gardens and surrounding grounds also its collections and archives. Best viewed in HD.
