Boating the Norfolk Broads - a Swallows and Amazons Adventure ⛵️

I have wanted to go to the Norfolk Broads my whole life, mainly because of my love of the Swallows and Amazons books written by Arthur Ransome, two of which ‘Coot Club’ and ‘The Big Six’ are set on the waterways of the broads. These are epic adventures involving sailing boats, we took an easier route on our adventure and hired an electric boat! I had an awesome day exploring with my Aunt at the end of last summer, it was really windy because I take the wind wherever I go, but the waterways were peaceful and we saw so many birds. We hired our boat from Richardsons in Wroxham if you want to follow in our boat steps. This does not include the many more injuries and deaths sustained on unregulated on ‘flapping’ tracks 10,000 dogs are deemed surplus to requirements each year out of all those bred annually for the sport. 8,000 of these are ‘retired’ racers while the rest are young dogs that didn’t make the grade.
