Giant Cell Arteritis || Superficial Temporal Artery Doppler || Ultrasound || Case 243 Clinical Features: A 36 years old female patient came with severe headache, more over the right frontal region. Ultrasound Features: Bilateral superficial temporal arteries appear increased in diameter, tortuous in course with circumferential hypoechoic edematous wall thickening causing luminal narrowing. Pulse wave Doppler shows normal flow with a well-represented diastolic component. Remember: In case of temporal arteritis, the patient will show you the artery as a painful area.
