Thanks to Mr Z, I have been able to do a side-side comparison of the Rolex Submariner Date Model Ref 126610LN vs the SteelDive SD1953 Homage Watch. Now..before the Rolex fanboys set a lynching squad out for me...this is merely a side-by-side comparison...it's designed to show each watch for what it is...in saying that, the price difference as you would know ...is massive! The Rolex Submariner at retail, if you can get it, which you cant anyway, would set you back just over $15k AUD, whereas the Steeldive is readily available & can be had for just over $100 AUD. Of course, finishing is far superior on the Rolex & in the hand, you can tell it's superior...but....does that mean the Rolex is better....Yes & No...of course it's better quality...but on the value ratio, the Steeldive is the clear winner in this regard.
