Lauren Duffy, Alan Duffy, and our special guest, Robert Kearns, appeared at the Duffy Homestead in 2021 to present a special gift, as a token of appreciation, and involvement with Canada Ireland Foundation. The ongoing collaborative venture of the Duffy Heritage Foundation and the Canada Ireland Foundation (formally known as the Ireland Park Foundation) is important to continuing our understanding of where we came from. The log home, the barn, and the surrounding acreage are all part of the Duffy Heritage Foundation. Our intent is to set up, self fund, perpetuate, and celebrate the early pioneers and our family’s contribution to the community. The Government of Canada, the Government of Ireland, and the City of Toronto, in addition to Foundations like ours, aim to enrich the experience of Irish and all Canadians as they learn how the first settlers lived. The entire Duffy family is involved in restoring the Duffy Homestead to its roots.
