Panels: In & Out: Simplex 2001 "Repack" FACP

Panels: In & Out provides a detailed explanation of how some fire alarm panels work and rates them on a scale of 1 to 5 for how easy they are for a fire alarm collector. In this episode, I go over the Simplex 2001-8032 "Repack" single bay FACP, one of the simplest looking panels in my collection, which actually ends up being one of the most complicated. One thing I forgot to explain in the video was what "Repack" means -- it refers to the fact that this panel, and its double bay cousin the 2001-8024, were meant to be unpacked and built at the Simplex factory or Simplex district office, then repackaged and mailed to the jobsite, to be installed. This differs from the larger 2001-8001 system, which was a truly modular system designed to be built on-site. That panel's architecture is very different from this one and I am not exactly sure how it works... This is a re-upload.
