Unlike with my Binibining Pilipinas recap, I did not have time to research the contestants prior to watching the show, which probably changed my perspective. Regardless of that, I still have quite a few things to say about the shows production as well as the contestants. In 2016 Madison represented Puerto Rico at Miss Grand International and was awarded 3rd runner up. Since then she competed at Miss Florida USA 2019 and was selected as 1st runner up. Since her time on the international stage, Madison Anderson, has immensely improved, which allowed her to take home the coveted title of Miss Universe Puerto Rico, to represent the country at Miss Universe 2019. Madison is already a fan favorite, but her performance at Miss Puerto Rico Universe 2019 demonstrated an increase in skill for swim, gown, and poise during on-stage question.
