We're looking forward to seeing you on the mountain😆 Aizu is untapped and well worth visiting for its consistent snowfall, uncrowded resorts, no lift lines, and very little western influence. If you’re looking to get away from the high-profile resorts and explore somewhere more authentic, Aizu is the best choice. Grandeco Snow Resort, with a base at 1,000 meters, is the region’s highest area. The terrain is generally gentle, so it’s a family-friendly resort: the beginners’ course from the mountaintop gondola station is a super long but mellow 3.5-kilometer run. The altitude also means some of the best snow quality locally. Near the summit is safe, short tree runs; mid-mountain is an area of widely spaced trees, perfect for fun tree skiing. The Tokyu Grandeco Hotel is located right on the ski area, great for a stylish vacation stay.
