OK hit the escape key, it’s time to return to the review and take back control of this video. Rapoo has put together this pretty sleek looking mouse and keyboard pairing that offers quite a high level of performance for what is an extremely entry level and budget friendly price point. Thanks to anti-interference frequencies, the Bluetooth wireless transmissions are able to connect to up to 4 devices at once without sacrificing sensitivity or function. The keyboard itself is made from a stainless-steel base, and boasts to be one of the thinnest on the market – at just 0.16 inches in thickness. The keys are connected via scissor feet, which provide a nice even force when depressed, have a fast rebound rate to assist in speed typing, and also are completely silent – so no bothersome click clacking annoying your friends and family when you’re burning the midnight oil either working or getting some gaming time in. High performance laser mouse adjustable up to a 3200-dpi sensitivity, moulded to fit perfectly to the inside of you hand like a glove, or in this case… a… not glove? Not only that, a quick selector on top switches between up to 4 Bluetooth paired devices – whether they be computers, laptops, smart phones, or tablets. Better yet, the ergonomic design is home to not only a left and right click button, but another 6 programmable buttons that add function at the user’s discretion. So, what do we like about the Rapoo MT980S Multi Device Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo? First up, the simplicity of it all. No need to insert wireless USB receivers that can only pair a keyboard or mouse to the one machine. Instead, you can actively connect to, and readily switch between, up to 4 smart devices. Both the keyboard and mouse look amazing, with the keyboard incorporating a less is more approach to design with its sleek appearance, while the mouse is all about comfort and conforming so well to your hand that it becomes an extension of your body. What’s the downside? The software needed to custom program the 8 mouse buttons is written in Chinese – great for if you’re a native speaker or semi fluent, but not so great if you’re uncultured dopes like we are. An English translation would be nice so we don’t have to copy and paste into google translate to get it all working. Although there’s no complaints mouse wise, the keyboard angle was slightly uncomfortable and would probably best suit someone with more dainty hands, or with slimmer fingers. So, what’s the verdict?
