This is a playthrough of Moirai, a short, experimental video game by Chris Johnson, Brad Barrett, and John Oestmann, released in 2013. Its eerie tone culminates in an encounter with what may appear to be another NPC, but is in fact the previous player, explaining why he seems a bit incoherent. This system, of random strangers deciding what ending the other players receive, besides creating a surreal time loop-like situation, is Moirai's main innovation, and the meaning of the title: your fate is in someone else's hands. However, the game was shut down after some hacker, who apparently even liked Moirai, overloaded the database. The hacker's stated motive was thinking it was funny. That's fate, I guess. Because the game is no longer widely available, I put up this footage from my lousy let's play so that anyone who wants to see Moirai in action might be able to.
