India has a crude oil pipeline network of over 20000 Km across the states. This shows the importance of the hydrocarbon sector and pipeline networks for the Indian economy. The MEIL, a company with footprints in diversified sectors, has also impacted Hydrocarbons. It has laid an oil pipeline network in Assam, built Effluent treatment plants in Gujarat and Andhrapradesh, made world-class robust rigs for ONGC, and marked its presence in CGD networks. It is also building crucial segments of the Rajasthan refinery. As part of its hydrocarbon projects, the company is laying a cross-country crude oil pipeline network for the Rajasthan refinery project in Pachpadra, Barmer District. The refinery complex is being built to process a mix of Rajasthan & Arab crude oil. The purpose of this pipeline network is to transport the imported Arab crude from the Crude Oil Terminal (COT) at Mundra Gulf of Kutch in Gujarat to refinery storage located at Barmer Rajasthan. A total of 486 Km of pipeline network is being laid. Our workforce has finished laying off 400 km of the pipeline network. To ensure effective and reliable pipeline control, management and supervision, the company is setting up a control system, metering system, SCADA system, leak detection system, and telecommunication facilities.
