Dysphagia is not a disease, it is a symptom derived from a physical, neurological or degenerative situation. It is defined as the difficulty in swallowing solid foods, liquids and even saliva, and is estimated to suffer from it by around 10% of the world's population, although only 20% of them are diagnosed. La disfagia no es una enfermedad, es un síntoma derivado de una situación física, neurológica o degenerativa. Se define como la dificultad para la deglución de alimentos sólidos, líquidos e incluso la saliva, y se estima que en torno a un 10% de la población mundial la sufre, aunque solo un 20% de los mismos es diagnosticado.
