This comes after a disturbing video surfaced, showing one of them killing a baby rabbit. Now, one of them is facing charges and the colleague who reported what happened has also lost his badge. Cell phone video from August 2024 captured the moment Grant County Sheriff’s Deputy Alejandro Gomez killed a baby rabbit, and pointed a taser at three fellow deputies. On Monday, Grant County Sheriff Raul Villanueva confirmed all four deputies were fired. He would not comment further, calling it a personnel matter. However, back in February, prosecutors charged Gomez with four counts of assault on a police officer, and one count of extreme cruelty toward animals.
