Please "LIKE" and "SUBSCRIBE" if you dig! This lesson on “Tapping Polyrhythms” is from my song “Zeroes and Ones” from the album "A Lesson in Impermanence" streaming on all major platforms here: https://johnferrarabass.hearnow.com Lesson Description: One of my all time favorite things to do is to tap polyrhythms. In this lesson I discuss how to first perfect a polyrhythm, and then how to incorporate it into a chord progression that you like. I discuss what I call the “16th note netting” that both components of the polyrhythm pull from even though you can’t hear them. If you can tap into that (pun not intended) , you'll see how both parts are part of a common grid where some notes collide and other bounce off of one another. This lesson is based on one rhythm doing 3 and one doing 5. It’s challenging, but once you crack the code you’re home free! Thank you guys for watching my videos!
