Rubicon Hiking Trail in South Lake Tahoe + What to see in Emerald Bay The Rubicon Trail is one of my favorite trails in all of Lake Tahoe. The 4.6 mile trail (10 if you don't shuttle) goes through two state parks and along the water for pretty much the entire time. It is a beautiful area to explore and one that you want to take your time with. When you make it to Emerald Bay, plan to spend some time relaxing on the beach or visiting Eagle Falls, Fanette Island or Vikingsholm. I left some tips for each at the end of this video.
