Novoslobodskaya street got its name from the New Dmitrovskaya Sloboda (XVII century), which separated from the Old and Malaya Dmitrovskiye Sloboda (located on the site of Bolshaya Dmitrovka and Malaya Dmitrovka streets). Dolgorukovskaya Street (before 1877 - Novoslobodskaya Street, in 1924-1992 - Kalyaevskaya Street) is a street in the Tverskoy district of the Central Administrative District of Moscow. Until 1877, Dolgorukovskaya street was part of Novoslobodskaya Street (part of the historical road to Dmitrov). In 1877, the entire then Novoslobodskaya street was named Dolgorukovskaya in honor of the Governor General of Moscow, Prince V.A. Dolgorukov. In 1890, the street was replanned and the name “Dolgorukovskaya” was left behind its central part, from the Garden Ring to Seleznyovka. In 1924-1992, it bore the name of the revolutionary I.P.
