Two Indian Navy ships, INS Sahyadri (F-49), Shivalik class multi-role frigate and INS Kiltan (P-30), an anti-submarine warship, will dock at Pier 15, South Manila Harbor Wednesday (Oct. 23) for goodwill visits which will last until 26 October. The ships will dock at around 9:30 am, the head of the Philippine Navy's public affairs office, Lieutenant Commander Maria Christina A. Roxas said in a statement. He added that the head of the Indian Navy contingent would pay a courtesy call to ranking Navy officials. "As with other goodwill visits, they will have a call of honor (for ranking PN officials) and then receptive reciprocity, a game of good intentions and a tour of the ship," Roxas said. INS Sahyadri has 6,200 tons of displacement, 142.5 meters long and 16.9 meters beams, and is armed with various missiles, torpedoes and rockets for anti-ship, anti-air and anti-submarine missions along with 76mm automatic cannons. Meanwhile, INS Kiltan has a displacement of 3,000 tons, a length of 109 meters, a beam of 12.8 meters and is armed with weapons, torpedoes and rockets.
