We look on as more HO scale yard operations are taking place on my HO scale model railroad the Black Hills and Eastern Railroad. We look at a grain train being readied to depart Sioux City, IA. Model train operations is one of my favorite aspects of model railroading. I’m loving the experience of sharing with you BN’s operations in Sioux City. But once we get Sioux Falls up and running, it will be a more permanent fixture there. Chicago Burlington and Quncy ‘Q’ Cut to beth saying ‘Everywhere West’ was where BN got its Burlington from in March 1970. Patched waycar in Sioux Falls - dodge to pic of that car. I never felt the waycar very compelling because of the paint scheme. Dirty, faded, etc. But had I known then what I know now… This is an atlas model representing a Waycar from the CB&Q days. Lose your railfan card if you call it a caboose. But then again, the Sioux City yard is former GN territory and so is Sioux Falls. I patched the car to its BN number a couple years ago.
