Gengar can invest in its unimpressive Attack stat purely to capitalize on Explosion or Focus Punch. It can invest in precise amounts of Bulk to live important hits like +1 Salamence Hidden Power, or Starmie Psychic, and strike back with a counterattack. And Gengar's attacking options aswell as utility options are incredibly vast, with such tools as Mean Look, Taunt and Will-o-Wisp at it's disposal.
