News(Adam Safran): All is quiet in the North Sea. A few minor patrols and light skirmishes as the Kaiserleach Marine slowly resupplies in port and waits in the protection of the Baltic. The Germans are shifting light forces to the eastern side of the Kiel Canal to try and press on Russian forces in the area. Norway serves as a secondary basing zone for German units. French and Royal Navy forces are presumed to have rough parity with the Kaiserliech Marine and to have most of their forces in the Atlantic, though a few likely are in the Mediterranean. The Austrian-Hungarian Navy is seeing a surge of investment after staying in their home ports for most of the war. With their home waters secure, they seem ready to go out to sea to challenge Italian forces. On the Western Front, the French Army is reeling. Brutal losses among the French Army have only been stabilized by a mass reinforcement of British forces to hold the line. The Germans believe more of the line is held by British units than French ones. Though the presence of British units serves as an anchor in the north where the Germans seem to be shifting more forces to the center of the line for offensives elsewhere. But the deployment of new superheavy artillery from the British is unlike anything seen on the front, capable of breaching through even heavy entrenchments and causing units on the front lines to take heavy losses. The Germans have so far no ability to counter it, merely sending in more reinforcements to units that are being brutalized. German artillery being nowhere near as powerful is only something that the Germans can scramble to try and dig deeper. The Eastern front looks like someone has taken a sledgehammer to it. The surrender of Romania has freed up significant units as well as grain and supplies to help ease issues from the blockade for Austria-Hungary and Germany. Russian units are rapidly disintegrating as protests through the Tsar's lands seem to be gaining strength as units have cratering morale. Losses are high, and the Russians seem unable to maintain a coherent line as the only places that the Central Powers do not seem to be advancing in is places where they are reinforcing and shifting troops from Romania to the front lines. Along the Alps the Austro-Hungarians and the Italians stare at one another, but increasing Italian bombardments and probing attacks even along mountain dug trenches make the Hapsburg monarchy have to start sending in more forces to help hold. The Caucuses has stabilized, if only for a few brief moments as the Russians seem content to bombard. The Turks have some time to replace losses while attacks slow and breathe as the Russians send more forces to the area. While the Turks are weak, the Central Powers seem content to let the Russians focus forces in the area and make a heavy advance elsewhere, gambling they can take out the Russians while much of their intact army is deployed to the region and cannot be used elsewhere, and that the Turks can hold without additional help. A gamble that remains to be seen, as the Turks ask desperately for more units that will not come for now. The English have isolated the small partisan uprising along North Africa with Italian help and seem ready to shift troops back to retake the Suez any time now. A heavy advance from the south against Baghdad has started, and a seige seems ready to begin if the city shall not fall. The war seems to be heavily favoring the Central Powers, with the fall of Russia seemingly all but guaranteed pending a miracle the Tsar proclaims will come. More nations see where the wind is blowing and are considering supporting the Central Powers. The Western Front is weak but the French and British show a will to fight on even if the Russains do not.
