The Syllable D9X wireless Bluetooth headphones bring an interesting concept to the market with swappable batteries that can be recharged by the storage case. With two pairs of sticks, this gives highly extended listening times. It's a great idea and almost guarantees that you never run out of battery power. Beyond this USP, the D9Xs are nothing special - sound quality is good without being outstanding and comfort is as you'd expect for silicon earbuds. What actually lets the D9Xs down is the sheer fiddliness of it all. There's a hardshell case for the earbuds and the charging storage case, so to listen you have to open the case to get the earbuds out, then open the storage case get the batteries out, then plug everything together before putting them in your ears. Having said all that....I do use these a great deal. YMMV. For reference, these are the original versions. I understand that there is a newer 2019 edition.
