After years of working under Araminta Gun's (Katie Leung) tyrannical rule, even being arrested over stolen shoe clips, Sophie falls in love with Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and finds a way to be with him publicly, not as his mistress. It certainly helps that Sophie discovers the truth about her father's will, and she's protected by Violet Bridgerton (Ruth Gemmell). Although Araminta is thwarted and Rosamund's (Michelle Mao) engagement falls through, things are looking up for Posy (Isabella Wei) after catching the eye of a gentleman at the queen’s ball.
