ZOLLER »powerShrink« heat-shrink solution shines | EMO 2023

ZOLLER's new »powerShrink 400/600« machine series delivers a powerful, fast, safe and reliable heat-shrink for high-speed steel and hard metal tools. The »powerShrink« heats and cools tools in less than 60 seconds, thanks to the unique design of the induction coil. Developed entirely in-house, this coil includes two windings that are controlled separately to optimize heating time. This limits wear on heat-shrink toolholders, reduce machine downtime and cuts down energy consumption by about 30%. To ensure safety, a color-guided light system moves the operator through each step of shrinking and cooling, giving the green light for when the process is safely complete. The »powerShrink« is also safety certified by TÜV according to UL/CSA certification standards. Machines in this series can heat-shrink tools with lengths up to 460 millimeters (»powerShrink 400) or 600 millimeters (»powerShrink 600«).
