Blackstone Executive Killed in NYC Shooting, Trump Comments on Violence

Bloomberg News Senior Reporter Myles Miller breaks down the events of a deadly shooting in Midtown Manhattan on Monday. It happened at 345 Park Avenue, a 44-story, dark-glass tower that houses the offices of private equity behemoth Blackstone Inc., consultant KPMG, building landlord Rudin Management and the National Football League. Police say the gunman, Shane Tamura of Las Vegas, went into the building and opened fired. Four were killed including Wesley LePatner, the chief executive officer for Blackstone Real Estate Income Trust. Police say the gunman killed himself. He was targeting the NFL, but ended up on Rudin’s floor by mistake, according to two senior law enforcement officers.
