This timelapse follows the modeling of an hydraulic gear pump in Blender 2.93. The term "formbashing" to describe the process of taking different bits from different designs to create the final product. Hard Ops and Boxcutter were used mostly during the block-out phase, many of the actions they performed could have been done vanilla - the addons just make it quicker and so much more seamless. The gear pump was little bit more tame in comparison to the alternator [ you can watch it here:    • Modeling an Alternator for SUBD Practice i...   ]. I purposefully chose to scale back the scope in terms of the level of detail so I can include specific segments that I'd like to make long-term additions to a formula for how I work and produce content. Why share this? Words and actions. It's been a while since I've used Kit Ops and Decal Machine, so this project marks a proper introduction of Kit Ops and Decal Machine segments (where they'd apply).
