I am the first to pull of the ending strat in a run and will most likely be the last. I and those who I talked to about doing it weren't aware that it counted as shortcut category, especially due to its absence from the shortcut category checkpoint sheet and the shortcut categories video; when Boshi also mentioned that Sardine had tried to do it to reclaim BKT I did attempts in full confidence only for the worst possible outcome. Luckily I didn't spend an obscene amount of time attempting it and got lucky but it's still a massive slap in the face. I'm still extremely happy to have set a run with it that would have beaten the current BKT. I managed to beat the Kart BKT here just a few runs before this but that time has a lot of room for improvement. I have the splits to come close to BKT without it and I hope I can find a way to beat in the future, however for now I will just try to get the sub or 3rd WW. Although there isn't really any real driving to be done on this track with kart. The only place to gain is momentum hops and the two turns after, the last turn and landing from the shroom can give random time losses too but apart from that there is really nowhere to gain or lose time.
