Peri-operative Mortality Prof Fauzia Khan

Dr Fauzia Khan is a tenured Professor of Anaesthesiology at the Aga Khan University, Karachi, Pakistan . She completed her anesthesia training from the UK and was one of the founding members of the Department of Anaesthesiology, Aga Khan University. She chaired the department between 2002 and 2010. She has published more than 160 articles in peer-reviewed journals and received the Research Productivity Award of the Pakistan Council of Science and Technology and mention in the Directory of Productive Scientists of Pakistan. Her current clinical interests are pediatric and neurosurgical anesthesia. She has been actively involved in the education and training of residents in Pakistan and is an Examiner for fellowship (FCPS) in Anaesthesia, College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan. She chaired the Safety and Quality of Practice Committee of the World Federation of the Societies of Anaesthesia (WFSA) (2016 - 2020) and is continuing as a member of the committee in its present tenure. She is editor of Anaesthesia Practice newsletter and Senior Editor of the Anaesthesia Pain & Intensive Care Journal (APICARE).
