Aligned with the International Women’s Day 2026 theme #GiveTo Gain, this virtual event explores how mentorship creates value not only for those receiving support, but for those who give it. When knowledge, time, and experience are shared intentionally, careers accelerate and stronger, more connected communities are built. The session will feature a moderated conversation led by Stephanie May, with confirmed panellists: Oxana Grishina, Ian Plummer and Pinar Kesik Ongun. Together, they will share practical insight into how events can spark authentic connections and how inclusive networking continues to build value long after the conversation ends. By the end of the session, you’ll gain insight into: Understand why mentorship is a powerful driver of career progression Recognise the value mentors gain by giving time, insight, and support Learn how mentorship strengthens confidence, visibility, and opportunity Explore practical ways to get involved as a mentor or mentee See how giving back contributes to more inclusive, connected workplaces About the speakers Oxana Grishina is a senior automotive and mobility leader with over 20 years of global experience across electrification, future retail, and large-scale transformation. Most recently, she led Future Retail and Transformation at Hyundai Motor UK, driving innovation, digitalisation, and customer-led growth in a rapidly evolving market. Oxana specialises in turning strategy into action. From scaling new business models to launching data-driven experiences that strengthened EV adoption and brand trust, her work focuses on delivering meaningful impact for people, businesses, and the planet. Alongside her industry roles, she is Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees and Governance Committee for the Community Transport Association and an active mentor within the Women Automotive Network, supporting the next generation of leaders through practical guidance and shared experience. Pinar Kesik Ongun has been a systems architect and product definer at Analog Devices since 2022, focusing on the GMSL ADAS SerDes product line. She is responsible for defining next-generation ADAS SerDes solutions and collaborates closely with OEMs, Tier 1, and Tier 2 suppliers to enable complex ADAS architectures. From 2019 to 2022, she served as an applications engineer supporting GMSL ADAS projects, following a decade of experience in the defense and automotive industries as an analog IC designer and electronics systems engineer. She holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electronics Engineering from Istanbul Technical University. Ian Plummer joined AutoTrader in 2017 and is responsible, in particular, for growing Auto Trader’s new car business. With 20 years of automotive experience with several brands, he is responsible for building meaningful relationships with all UK automotive manufacturers as well as their retailers to enable the development of solutions to drive new value and revenue to them, in both the new and used car space. Previously Ian worked at Volkswagen, where he was Director of Sales Operations in the UK, responsible for all UK Volkswagen passenger car sales as well as the franchise management and commercial programmes. Ian was also the former Managing Director of Renault Retail Group responsible for 25 Renault and Nissan dealerships, and prior to that held various international marketing, after-sales and e-business roles at Renault’s headquarters in Paris. About the host The session is led by Stephanie May, Community Director of the Women Automotive Network. As the voice of the network, Stephanie represents our community across the industry, hosting high-impact conversations and speaking on global stages to amplify women’s leadership and influence. She brings a rare combination of strategic insight, credibility, and deep connection to the people shaping the future of automotive.
