He soon met Jan there, and they had dinner together on Christmas Day, at the home of the wonderful Part Family. (David teaches Maciej Music Technology, Piano and Pipe Organ and at the age of 7, and he is already playing and singing in Polish & English in Church!) It was at this gathering that David learned that Jan was a Professor of Nuclear Physics, at the same university where David founded and directed the award-winning Music Technology Program. Their offices were across the street from each other, but they never met! It was then that David was invited to play the Pipe Organ or this very special event at a majestic church, the largest Polish Cathedral in the State of New Jersey. About David… David Musial began Music & Organ lessons at the age of 7 in the city of Buffalo, NY. He became a professional Pipe Organist at the early age of 10 with ten masses a week! David has played thousands of services, over thousand funerals, over 400 weddings and even with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. David has played music in a multitude of churches and has worked with all kinds of soloists, including some who have sung and even soloed in Carnegie Hall. Musial received a full private sponsors for his Doctoral Studies in Music Psychology and Technology to The Juilliard School of Music and then a Full Teaching Fellowship at New York University where he won “Instructor-of-the-Year” in Music Technology. He was featured in the New York Times & Modern Liturgy. His recording of “Wedding Music” for “Drew’s Famous” record label has gone beyond Gold status. He composed the Theme Song for an Anti-Violence Campaign for the U.S. Dept. of Education that won an Emmy Award for MTV. The United Nations used a song he produced with a full choir for the 50th Anniversary of the United Nations. His anthem “We Are Drug Free” won #1 for A Partnership for a Drug Free America. His anthem “Brave New American Heroes” was inducted into the National 9/11 Memorial with recognition from the White House. Research Center in 2004 at the Stevens Institute of Technology. It placed Second in the Nation with the Best Colleges Award. David knew Dr. Robert A. Moog and inspired the Student Division of the “Bob Moog Foundation”. David produced a music event in the Hall of Heroes in the Pentagon, on a U.S Aircraft Carrier, assisted an artist for Carnegie Hall, and has recorded soundtracks for Off-Broadway Musicals in NYC. The United States Department of Justice presented Musial an Award for “Promoting Positive Messages Though Music”. Recently Musial was presented the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame Award. Currently David assists at Saint Anthony’s, and is the organist/pianist at the Polish Mass at Our Lady of Czestochowa in Jersey City. Professor David Musial has credited the City of Buffalo and currently has inspired the launching of the Jersey City Hall of Fame, and is further developing his program which is “All About The Mentors”: NextGen Stars® !
