I’m just going to start this off with a little background because y’all are going to love the attitude from this guy and me, but not have a clue as to why This whole evolution started off with a dispatch for an engine failure. On my way down to my boat, my dispatcher calls to tell me not to leave the marina until she hears back from insurance, because the guy called the Coast Guard and is now saying he has water in the boat, and as a lot of you know from watching my videos, his towing policy won't cover him now. I don’t know everything that transpired before I got involved, but apparently, this guy was cussing her out, the petty officer who answered the Coast Guard phone, and our national dispatch center. Anyways, I get on scene and the guy is already giving me attitude as I'm trying to assist him, but I persist, and after we get underway and pumps going, he starts to change his attitude, and by the end of the tow, he's turned into a very grateful and pleasant person! AI-Generated Description: This tow job was a rollercoaster before I even left the dock. It started as a routine dispatch for an engine failure—simple enough, right? Wrong. Just as I’m heading to my boat, my dispatcher calls and tells me to hold up because the customer has now phoned the Coast Guard claiming he’s got water in the boat. And as many of you know from watching my videos, the moment “taking on water” gets mentioned, his towing insurance coverage is out the window. Turns out, in the span of a few minutes, this guy had managed to cuss out not only my dispatcher but also the Coast Guard petty officer who answered his call and our national dispatch center. Not exactly the smoothest way to start off a rescue! By the time I arrived on scene, he was already throwing some attitude my way. But I’ve been doing this long enough to know that sometimes you just push through the bluster and get the job done. So, I got the pumps running, lines secured, and we started making way toward safety. And here’s where it gets good—over the course of the tow, his entire attitude shifted. Little by little, as the water level dropped and the ride smoothed out, his temper cooled. By the end of the trip, he went from being the angriest guy on the water to one of the most thankful and polite customers I’ve had in weeks. This video really shows how fast things can change out on the water—sometimes it’s not just boats you’re towing, it’s moods too! Stick around to watch the full transformation, because you won’t believe the difference between the guy I met at the start and the guy I dropped off at the end. 👍 Like and subscribe if you enjoy seeing salty situations turn sweet (and for more tales of boaters who make my job anything but boring). #TowBoatLife #BoatingFails #CoastGuard #OnTheWater #BoatRescue #SaltyToSweet #BoatingLife #MarineRescue #EpicTows #AngryToGrateful
