Who needs trolley service when you can bring your own catering and spruce up the experience with a few carefully chosen 'accessories'! Not only that, but you can also do it for a VERY affordable price! In this video, I'll show you My Bargain DIY Dining Experience on the Heart of Wales Line with Transport for Wales and how I travelled all the way down from Shrewsbury on the Heart of Wales line, passing through some of the most amazing scenery on one of the remotest single-track lines in the whole of the United Kingdom. I'll take breakfast at my table, then lunch before reaching Swansea where we change trains. I'll then be making this into a circular trip by journeying east to Newport and finally all the way back up to Shrewsbury via the much faster Welsh Marches line.
