What is there to do at Pigeon Point Lighthouse? Yes, the actual lighthouse is closed for renovations, but there is a lot to see and do at Pigeon Point Lighthouse. The renovation at the time of this video, August of 2022, is just now starting. Barring any delays (and COVID and wildfires have already delayed the project), it should take 18 months for a full renovation and folks will be able to tour the inside of the lighthouse. For now, you can walk the grounds and take in the beautiful scenery and read the ledger boards which is full of history. There is an interpretive center and a gift store. You can visit the adjoining beaches! Bring a picnic. In this video, we explain which beach is best to get out of the wind.
