Methods that work well to strip paint from other brands of HO scale model trains do not work well on Kato locomotives. 91% isopropyl alcohol works great on Proto and Athearn products, but generally doesn't touch the paint on Kato models. We're preparing an HO Kato SD40-2 snoot nose BNSF unit to take on a new identity. Will strip the paint and artwork in this episode.
