Washington D.C Vlog 🏛️| Going home | USA pt.4

FULL TRIP BELOW ↓ ↓ Hey loves thank you for watching, and please watch the previous 3 if you haven’t already ♡ This is officially the last few days of the US trip and the last video. It has been super fun, and super crazy at the same time with highs and lows. The first day we started on our way from NYC to Princeton University. We were leaving New york :(. But the show goes on. I am feeling better now from my sickness but that crunchy cough that sounds like nuclear bombs, stayed. Princeton University is decent. Plus, on these universities visits we look at the aesthetics, the history, facts and the AESTHETICS. So it didn’t really shock me, but it is pretty and feels very secluded and calm, like you are sort of in a different dimension but nothing is weird. We had some time to shop for souvenirs and that same shop was also like a convenience store so it had food, food and food. I wanted to try the cheesepuff cheetos to try to compromise from the hot cheetos which DISAPPOINTED me. They have no flavour, just…spicy. Americans shouldn’t come to SA, they should try our food. The cheesepuffs sadly didn’t fix anything. 😃 So after our shopping we had to leave, although I had to use the bathroom and others had to use it too so it was just this long line for the bathroom. Finally when I got out, almost everyone was gone, so I HAD to leave. There have been many problems with people being late every day on this trip, and I was not tryna be that person again. The problem was that I didn’t know the way back, because from that shop, there were abt 4-5 paths in different directions, and I was alone and scared. Luckily, thank GOD, there were 3 other people I knew who came behind. Those were acc the same people I got into the crumbl situation at Boston, ig we the late crew. So they knew the way and we successfully made our way back to the buses to head on to Washington dc! We then stopped at a cute Mexican restaurant and had a good time munching on some nachos and tacos. This was the second time ever in my life that I’ve had tacos. After that we checked our target right across the street and bought a few things there, and we then got out to find that the poLICE, were there and apparently they arrested someone, but I was too busy at Target to see allat 🥲 We then arrived at our BEAUTIFUL hotel, besides the breakfast that wasn’t as good as NYC. We then had a rly fun game night, too fun to record 🙂, and we slept late, ending our LOUD game night after our chaperones sent on the groupchat about noise complaints. They just didn’t know it was us and I hope none of them finds this video… or me. The next day was bad. I left my wallet after my mom added money for me to have some good money to spend at the big mall that we were going to in the evening, of which I was anticipating. I am still bothered by this today, idk why. But eventually, after so much stress and some people’s cards not working, I finally got ONE thing, 3 perfumes from Victoria Secret, 1 being for my mom, I definitely wanted two gifts for each of them. I unfortunately didn’t have time to buy for my dad, so the next day at the airport I got a good Calvin Klein cologne for him at duty free. The rest of this rollercoaster of a day was us going to the lovely Arlington Cemetery plus seeing the ceremony. Everything looked presidential. We also visited the Capitol grounds, saw White House and the People’s House museum, and after the mall, we went to the Spy Museum. Then, day overr The next day it was time to go home. We woke up super early and the airport process was smooth and quick So the flight was 15 hours, it was chilled and fun and the only flight where I didn’t sleep at all, I think the sleeping had to do with the fact that the rest of the 3 flights were window. But anyways the flight was fun, I watched some cool movies and even plugged in on my music, and ofc the plane was really dim the whole flight so imagine the vibes 😭❤️. We landed in Qatar and I THOUGHT I could have that the time to get the same burger I had in Qatar the last time we flew in for our connection to america, but unfortunately, due to flight delay we now had 1 hr so all we could do was use the bathroom to freshen up. We literally rushed, time was no more, but it all went away knowing that this flight was HOME. The whole 7 hrs I slept. I was even annoyed having to wake up for food. I ate with my eyes half open lol. We arrived home and got welcomed by our parents with balloons and I celebrated it all back in SA… with some McDonalds 🙂 This trip was amazing. I am very grateful for being invited on this top achievers trip, it meant so much to me and I hope to do it all again with family, next time.
