TESTING OUT THE SLATER STRENGTH DEADLIFT BLOCKS (https://www.slaterstrength.com/collec...) This was a regular training session that turned into a real durability test. We brought in two different sets of our deadlift pulling blocks and decided to document how they would hold up under actual working weight. In this video, we are using both the Pro and Economy Deadlift Pulling Blocks and loading the bar progressively until we reached an +800 lb pull. The Pro Timber Blocks are 9 inches tall and bring the bar up to about 18 inches when used with standard plates. They are built from kiln dried Eastern White Pine and finished with stain, along with a protective HDPE top surface to help take repeated contact from plates. These are designed for heavy use and long term durability and are commonly used for elevated deadlifts certain accessory lifts for the Olympic lifts, Belt squats, power pin deadlifts and general training. The Economy Timber Blocks come in at 8 inches tall and bring the bar to roughly 17 inches with standard plates. They are also made from kiln dried Eastern White Pine but without the stain or protective top surface. This makes them a more accessible option while still holding up to serious weight with bumper plates. We trained the way these blocks are meant to be used. The weight went up, the pulls stayed heavy and hard. This video shows what these blocks look like under real conditions, not a showroom test. If you lift heavy, compete, have a garage or commercial gym this is the kind of durability that matters.
