Exploring the best of Cayo, Belize

Travel video vlog about our trip to Cayo in Belize, in October 2024. Cayo District is located in the west part of Belize, and it contains the capital, Belmopan. It is the most extensive, second-most populous and third-most densely populated of the six districts of Belize. The district's capital is the town of San Ignacio. We spent a total of two weeks in Belize at the end of their rainy season and we rented a car to explore different places in Cayo. Below are the places you can see in this video: 1. Blue hole National Park (06:04) We were in Cayo for one week before going to Placencia, we spent 4 nights at Kaan'a resort in St Ignacio (highly recommend, great hotel with excellent service) and the last 3 nights we spent at The Rainforest Lodge resort at Sleeping Giant (beautiful hotel, incredible location, but keep in mind that service is ok and food are not that great. Still, the hotel is very unique, and it has amazing facilities, so I highly recommend staying there). The best restaurants I recommend in St Ignacio are the Guava Limb Cafe and the Ko-Ox- Hab-Nah. Near The Rainforest Lodge, there is an amazing restaurant that I highly recommend but you will have to drive about 10 min to get there, the name of the restaurant is Las Palapas.
