This piece highlights the progression of this questioning process by exemplifying the use of a "diminished chord," specifically Gdim7 in the soundscape... The use of the diminished chord provokes an emotional need that immediately leaves us with a need to find a resolution shortly after. But if left unattended, it can lead us into a never-ending loop of questioning. When & how does the chord resolve? Do we stay in the G°7 with no progression? Or do you find a resolve in the leading tone (the root) up? Ultimately, this piece is a representation of working through this process that symptomatically allows us to look inward with the question, "Do we unknowingly box ourselves in, not allowing for personal change?"
