In this video I'll show you how to make a stencil on a painting. I bought this stencil on Amazon (search for stencil and you'll find a lot of them!) Creation Video of painting:    • #035 Open Cup technique #fluidart WARM col...   Here's what I use: A stencil (Via Amazon, for example) Amsterdam Gloss Gel Medium Gold paint (other color is also possible) I used DecoArt 24k Gold Palette knife Frog tape Step 1: Masking off the paint. Not always necessary, it's just what you want to do, I only wanted it on black and my painting lent itself to that. Step 2: Place the stencil on top and stick it on. TIP!! Before you put the tape on, fold a small corner, so you can get it off much easier afterwards. Step 3: Spread the gel medium on the stencil from the OUTSIDE to INSIDE. Very thin and very slow. Make a nice even layer. Step 4: Spread a thin layer of paint OVER the gel medium. Step 5: Very carefully remove the tapes, leave 1 on, you pull it off last when removing the stencil. Make sure that your template does NOT move when you loosen the tapes. Step 6: Remove the stencil from the painting! Step 7: Remove the tape! You can use a wet cloth to brush off any leftovers. Allow to dry thoroughly. The gel medium dries transparently! Have fun!!
