We travelled to Airoli Marine Biodiversity Center in Navi Mumbai. There is a boat ride (only with prior booking) that takes us through creek waters and we see lots and lots of Flamingo birds. Flamingo visit Mumbai in months of January. It creates such a scenic view specially when all Flamigo fly. A flamingo is a tall, vibrant, and social wading bird known for its distinct pink or reddish plumage, long neck, and stilt-like legs. Found on every continent except Antarctica, there are six species of flamingo that thrive in large, shallow saltwater or alkaline lakes. A group of flamingos is known as a "flamboyance". In Maharashtra, these magnificent birds visit in late winter and have this beautiful pinkish colors on wings that is so beautiful that it can make us fall in love with it's beauty. It's not just the color but also the flight of birds that is so magnificent. Flamingos are adept and frequent flyers, despite their large size and awkward appearance on land. They take to the air to migrate, find new feeding grounds, or escape unsuitable conditions. It makes this beautiful species an epitome of quite strength. It stores the energy and use it only for longer flights. So much to learn from nature.
