Report on Demo Day / Idea Showcase IIC Calendar 8.0 Activity Date: 2 February 2026 Mode: Offline / Hybrid Organized by: Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Mahalakshmi Tech Campus As part of the IIC Calendar 8.0 activities, the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Mahalakshmi Tech Campus organized a Demo Day / Idea Showcase on 2 February 2026 to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and problem-solving culture among students. Objective of the Activity To encourage students to develop innovative solutions. To provide a platform for demonstrating Proof of Concepts (PoCs). To connect students with mentors and industry experts. To identify potential ideas for incubation and startup development. Event Highlights ✅ More than 40 innovative project ideas were displayed and demonstrated. ✅ Over 20 Proof of Concepts (PoCs) were successfully presented. ✅ More than 15 ideas were mentored by domain experts and faculty members. ✅ Active participation from students across various departments. ✅ Expert evaluation and constructive feedback sessions conducted. Mentorship & Expert Involvement Industry experts and faculty mentors evaluated the projects based on: Innovation and originality Technical feasibility Societal relevance Scalability and sustainability Selected ideas were linked to structured mentorship support for further refinement and potential incubation. Outcome of the Activity Strengthened innovation ecosystem within the institution. Increased student engagement in startup and entrepreneurial initiatives. Identification of high-potential ideas for further development. Enhanced industry-academia collaboration. Conclusion The Demo Day / Idea Showcase under IIC Calendar 8.0 was a grand success, with enthusiastic student participation and strong expert engagement. The event significantly contributed to fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship at Mahalakshmi Tech Campus.
