Kevin examines an intergenerational debate among six Vietnamese thinkers who had competing visions for how the Vietnamese should respond to French colonial domination. Kevin Pham is an Assistant Professor of Political Theory at the University of Amsterdam. His research explores the history of political thought with a special interest in theories of democracy, freedom, and revolution, especially from the perspectives of intellectuals and activists outside the West, such as from Asia and Vietnam, and from thinkers living under colonialism.
