Review of Pre-Anniversary Gregg Shorthand. There are a total of 20 lessons in this series. I will be uploading one or more per week of Pre-Anniversary Gregg Shorthand which is the shorthand used to achieve the greatest speed prior to 1949. In this year the dominent use of shorthand shifted from court reporting to secretarial due to the invention of court room key machines. Great speed was no longer essential because the purpose was primarily to take letters dictated by a boss he would speak at a slower rate than previously required by reporters who had to take verbatim testimonies in court rooms. It was mandatory for these reporters to keep up with testimonies spoken in excess of 200 wpm with pin point accuracy. They used Pre-Anniversary Gregg Shorthand, which is the shorthand that I'm teaching you here.
