Filmed by Alvin Lai and Darren Lai. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LMAO ngl, I procrastinated so hard, I had to make this whole film from scratch in ONE DAY (took 14 hours) because the deadline was like a few days away :P --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CYA artist statement: As a filmmaker, I want to tell stories that people can relate to personally. Since the pandemic, there's been a surge of procrastination, defined as the act of delaying or putting off tasks until the last minute or past their deadline. Unfortunately, along with most my peers, I'm one of these procrastinators and I wanted to share what its like for me whenever I find myself procrastinating (always). As a student of music, I made sure to utilize the musical choice I decided on, George Gershwin's classic: "Rhapsody in Blue." Being a rhapsody, I was able to explore multiple moods while sticking to the same piece; you can notice how the beats of the music function as the tempo for my film as well. I had lots of fun directing, shooting, and editing this film over a day and learned a lot about what it means to be a filmmaker.
