Fox RIver Trolley - Part 7 - Mooseheart to Lovedale

In this multi-part series, we investigate the now abandoned Elgin, Aurora, and Southern Traction railway, later the Aurora, Elgin, and Fox River Electric Railroad, situated along the Fox River, in Kane and Kendall Counties, Illinois. We tell the history of this railway and follow its path through more than a dozen communities, from Carpentersville to Yorkville. In this video (#91), the 7th in the series, we first explore the Mooseheart set of stops, set along the west bank of the Fox River. Next, we traverse through North Aurora, investigating its railroads and history. We then visit the former site of Exposition Park, just south of North Aurora, a huge amusement and horse-racing venue started in the 1920s. Finally, we explore the lost village of Lovedale, as well as a terrible trolley crash that occurred there in the early 1900s. Thank you for watching!
